Perverse Incentives
Health systems need incentives that reward prevention, outcomes, and long-term health.
When illness pays better than health, financing structures can work against the outcomes they are supposed to produce. Realignment means investing upstream and paying for sustained value rather than volume of treatment.
Question for the audienceHow can we change the system so that keeping people healthy becomes the most sustainable business model of all?
