Younger—But Biologically Older
A younger birth certificate does not guarantee younger biology.
In an observational analysis of 154,169 UK Biobank participants, later-born cohorts showed greater biological ageing. A larger biological-age gap was also associated with higher early-onset solid-cancer risk. The finding is important, but it does not establish causation.
Question for the audienceAre rising early-onset cancers partly a warning that younger generations are ageing faster?
